Trying to find any luminous shapes of similar vintage to, or older than the Luminous Spooks (UK, 1965), I came across these splendid examples on flickr. They include an apparition, a spooked cat, an owl and a witch on a broomstick.
Other pictures in this set are well worth a look, too; there is some excellent vintage artwork there.

ReplyDeleteI really love luminous glow vintage items (the Haunted Manor is right up there with the coolest out there). I have a feeling it would be an incredible list of all the vintage luminous objects that were produced. Have you seen, for example, some of the awesome board games from that era?

ReplyDeleteGreat suggestion. I know of a few vintage spooky games including Green Ghost and Ghost Castle, which both have GID elements. The latter was re-released a few years' back and I could have got it quite cheaply - I regret letting the opportunity pass now.
